Getting around the hospital
- The Main Entrance is the best place to enter the hospital for all visitors. The Main Entrance is within a 50 metre walk from P1 carpark and 150 metres walk from P3 carpark.
- Information ( Who can I ask): The information desk is at the Main Entrance. Ask for directions or general assistance. The Information desk is staffed is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:00pm and 8:00 am -4.00pm on Saturday and Sundays.
- Directory Board: View the Directory board to your left as you walk in the Main Entrance for directions and service listings.
- Volunteers for directional assistance: Look for the volunteers to assist with directional assistance located at the Main Entrance.
- Individual needs: If you have individual needs click here for information on how we can support you.
- Self check in kiosk:
- Self-check in kiosks are for Outpatient appointments.
- Self-check in kiosks are located in the Outpatient clinic area. on the Ground floor.
- There are two ways to get to the Outpatients clinic area
- Enter the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead and turn left at the lifts.
- Enter the Outpatient Entry and you will find the Outpatient Clinics on your left and right
- Outpatient clinics are located along this corridor.
- Hearing Loops:
- Hearing loop means reception staff can speak through special microphones that amplify the sound the person can hear through their hearing aid.
- Hearing aid needs to be set to t-coil setting.

- ATM: Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead past the Information desk, the ATM is on your right.

Emergency Department
Entrance: Use the Emergency Entrance to access. There is no access to the Emergency Department from the Main entrance.
Outpatient clinics
Outpatient clinics are located on the Ground floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead and turn left at the lifts.
Outpatient clinics are located along this corridor.
Maternity Arrival
Maternity arrival: Use main entrance, proceed straight ahead until you reach the lifts on your right. Take the lift up to Birthing Uint on Level 1. Press doorbell on arrival and a staff member will come to assist.

Maternity Services
Maternity Outpatient appointments are located in the Outpatient clinic area on the Ground floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead and turn left at the lifts.
Outpatient clinics are located along this corridor.
Maternity wards are located on Level 4, Wards 4A.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead until you arrive at the lifts on your right.
Take the lifts to Level 4 and follow the signs to 4A.

Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit is located on Level 1.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead until you arrive at the lifts on your right.
Take the lifts to Level 1 and follow the signs when you exit to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Admissions
Patients who are coming in the hospital for planned surgery , visit the Admissions office.
The Admissions office is located on the Ground Floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead and turn left at the lifts. The Admissions office is on your left.
Paediatric Hospital in the Home
Paediatric Hospital in the Home is located within the Outpatient clinic area on the Ground floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead and turn left at the lifts.
Outpatient clinics are located along this corridor.
GP Access After Hours Service
GP Access After Hours is located in the Outpatient clinic area on the Ground floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead and turn left at the lifts.
Outpatient clinics are located along this corridor.
Pharmacy
The Hospital Pharmacy is located on the Lower Ground floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead until you arrive at the lifts on your right.
Take the lifts to Level Lower Ground (LG)
Amenities and Parents room
Amenities are located on every floor and in the Emergency Department:

- A changing room, accessible toilet, toilets and parents room are located at the Main Entrance opposite the Information desk.
- There is another Mens / Womens and accessible toilet next to the Multi-faith room on the ground floor.
-There is a second Parents room in the Outpatient clinic area. Ask at the reception in Outpatients for location.
Level 1: One accessible toilet and two Mens / Womens toilets.
Level 2 : One accessible toilet, one breastfeeding room and Mens / Womens toilets.
Level 3 : Two accessible toilets- One on Ward 3 side and one inside Mental Health reception.
Level 4 : Two accessible toilets and two Mens / Womens .
Emergency Department: The Emergency Department has a public accessible toilet, Mens / Womens toilet and a parents room.
Multi-faith room
The Multi-faith room is located on the Ground floor.
Enter through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead until you reach the end of the corridor and the Multi-faith rom is on your left.
Seating Options and Waiting Areas
Seating: is available at drop off zones at all entrances. Seating for all members of the public is also available:
- inside the Main Entrance and Emergency Entrance
- outside all outpatient clinic spaces
- in the public courtyard on ground floor
- outside under the covered walking areas
Waiting Areas:
Ground Floor: Waiting spaces are located outside or within all clinics/ services.
Levels 1, 3 , 4 and 5 Wards: Visitor lounges are located at the entry to all wards.
