Hunter New England Imaging (HNEI), a unit of Hunter New England Local Health District (HNE LHD) facilitates the provision of high quality medical imaging services to facilities of HNE LHD.
Hunter New England Imaging provides Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and BreastScreen Services across 35 primary, secondary and tertiary hospitals and community health facilities using the latest in medical imaging technology.

Imaging services performed at any of the Hunter New England Imaging sites, provides your referring doctor or specialist with an examination report on your medical imaging that supports your clinical care.

You do not need to be a hospital inpatient to access our medical imaging services.
Outpatient medical imaging services are available at many of our imaging sites. Hunter New England Imaging bulk bill for outpatient imaging services so there is no out of pocket cost for any Medicare funded service, but you will need a valid and completed referral from your referring health care provider to have an outpatient exam.
