We recognise and value the important role our volunteers play in supporting us to provide quality health care in Hunter New England Local Health District. We all work together towards our vision - to improve health outcomes for our communities: Healthy People – now and in the future.
There are many opportunities for volunteers within our organisation. Some of these include:
- Meeting and greeting families and visitors to our facilities in a friendly and positive way;
- Helping out in kiosks to raise money;
- Spending one-on-one time with patients and families, providing support or activities.
The type of activity you can assist with will depend on the needs of your local health facility.
Give as little or as much time as you like. Whatever you are able to give will help make a difference.
To start your volunteering journey, please contact the Volunteer Service at your local health facility to find out more.
