Parking
The Main Entrance is the best place to enter the hospital for all visitors. The Main Entrance is within a 50m walk from all P1, P2 and P3 carparks.
Visitor parking
There are two options for parking – P1 Short stay visitor parking (Emergency department access) or P3 Visitor and staff parking all day parking.
Consider utilising drop off zones before parking for people with limited mobility.
P1 Short stay visitor parking
Parking for Emergency Department access and for people with an accessible parking permit.
To access enter hospital at roundabout on Metford Rd. Inside the hospital grounds, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout, proceed straight ahead and follow the signs to Short stay parking.
There are 8 accessible parking spaces in this carpark.
Parking is free of charge but limited to 4 hours.
Parking longer than 4 hours in this car park is by exception, please speak to the staff at the information desk at the Main Entrance or Emergency department staff if you are a patient, carer or family member from this service.
The Emergency Department Entrance is approximately a 20metre walk from this carpark. The Main Entrance is approximately a 30 metre walk from this carpark.
P3 Visitor and staff parking
To access, enter the hospital at roundabout on Metford Rd. Inside the hospital grounds, take the 1st exit at the roundabout and turn right at the end of the road. Follow the signs to enter the carpark.
There are 6 accessible parking spaces in this carpark.
Pay and Display parking: purchase a parking ticket to display on your windscreen from one of three parking ticket machines provided in the carpark. Cost of parking is TBC.
If both carparks are full, parking is permitted in the surrounding streets, check signs for restrictions. Consider utilising drop off zones for people with limited mobility.

Drop off zones: There are 3 patient drop off and pick up locations (see hospital map) outside the Emergency department entrance, outside the main entrance and outside the entry to the Outpatient clinics. There is bench seating available for patients/visitors to wait on at each drop off zone.
P2 Staff parking: P2 is a dedicated staff parking area for staff permit holders only.
Accessible parking for permit holders:
-Locations: 8 spaces in P1 Short stay parking area and 6 spaces in P3 Visitor and staff parking.
Motorbike parking: Available in both P1 and P3 parking areas.
Bicycle parking: Available in P1 short stay visitor parking
Concession rate parking
Concession rate parking is available for holders of valid (? Pension Concession Cards, Health Care Cards) and Disability Parking Permits. (More information TBC)
