Rural and Regional Health Services: Rural Health Research

29% of Australians live in a rural area and are more likely to experience health disadvantage (AIHW 2018). Locally driven solutions that include both the translation of evidence and generation of new knowledge are needed to improve rural health outcomes and health care delivery.

HNELHD Rural & Regional Health Service (R&RHS) values the role research can play in enhancing healthcare and has developed a targeted Rural Research Strategy that aligns with the district research strategy and aims to improve research engagement within our rural services
