Clinical and Health Service Research Fellowship Scheme

Round 8 NOW OPEN

A capacity building program that seeks to support established and emerging researchers/improvement professionals to become the research and improvement leaders of the future.

The purpose of the HNELHD CHSRFS is to:

  • Build HNE clinical and health service research capability and leadership by supporting and providing resources to backfill substantive positions to allow HNE Healthcare Professional/Clinicians to engage in relevant health service/clinical research and related professional development opportunities.
  • Enable high-quality clinically relevant research that aligns with HNELHD priorities to improve patient, health outcomes and service efficiencies locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Contribute to a culture of research and evidence-based improvement in HNELHD whereby research activity and evidence becomes integral to the provision of evidence-based care and improvement initiatives.

In Round 8 of the CHSRFS there will be two Fellowships on offer for a 3 year period:

  • HNE/HMRI General Fellowship - engaged in promoting clinical health service driven research, co-mentored/supervised by HNE and HMRI.
  • NSW Health Pathology/HNE Research Fellowship - this Fellowship will support pathology-related research that is translational (potential benefit to patient care and/or the local community), co-mentored/supervised by HNE and NSWHP.

All fellowship projects are encouraged that:
