Requests for an Interpreter
For non-urgent appointments, fill in an online booking form, otherwise, call the Booking Office on 4924 6285. After hours calls will be diverted to JHH Switch for urgent action (4921 3000).

Information needed for booking requests
All interpreter bookings go to a central booking system through the contacts given above. The following information is needed when making a request:
- Language needed
- Time and date of appointment
- Estimated duration of appointment
- Institution / Clinic / Location
- Contact name and phone number
- Health professional's name
- Client name and MRN
- Medical condition
- Any special circumstances or needs
**NOTE - Costs are charged for non government and private organisations. Please complete the request form for Interpreter or Translations requests if you are from a Non Government or Private organisation.**
Information on translation services
We provide free translations for simple health care documents relating directly to a patient.
For translation of complex health documents or information documents relating to funded health programs, please contact the HCIS Manager via emailing patricia.owen@health.nsw.gov.au . These services may incur a fee.
To make a request for translations, phone the booking office on 4924 6285 during business hours (8:30 am – 5:00 pm) or email HNELHD-MulticulturalHealth@health.nsw.gov.au
