Specialist Eating Disorder Day Program

EDDP

The Specialist Eating Disorders Day Program (EDDP) is a state-wide service located in the CBD of Newcastle, NSW.

The program provides treatment to adults with Anorexia Nervosa, Atypical Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder.

  • It is a small group program (up to eight clients at a time)
  • The program runs from 7:45am until 2pm (with sometimes a 7:30am start)
  • Treatment is provided in rounds of 4 weeks that run 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
  • Staff eat breakfast, morning tea and lunch with you, directly supporting you to nourish your body
  • Skills and education groups teach you coping skills to tackle challenges and build a life worth living

Please note that the EDDP is not an emergency or crisis service. If you have urgent concerns about your own health or that of a family member or friend with an eating disorder, please contact the treating GP, an after-hours medical centre or local Hospital Emergency Department.
