Visitor Information

Maitland Hospital information desk is located in the foyer

Visiting hours

Maitland Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Normal business hours are 8.30am – 5pm weekdays.

Visiting hours are between 8am – 8pm, with a rest period between 1pm – 3pm.

During the rest period, staff will return patients to their beds, close blinds and quieten the ward. We ask that relatives and visitors respect this period by vacating the ward or remaining quiet so that patients can sleep or rest if needed

  • The wards in Maitland Hospital are located on Levels 1, 3,  and 4. Click here for a map.
  • The Information desk staff at the Main Entrance to the hospital will be able to provide information so you can locate the patient you are visiting. Patients can move wards  during their stay so it is a good idea to ask.
  • To access the wards, enter the hospital through the Main Entrance, continue straight ahead until you arrive at the lifts on your right. All wards are accessible via the lifts.
  • When you arrive  on the ward, please  check in at the Staff Station located halfway along the ward to let them know who you are and the patient you are visiting.
