Belmont Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing emergency and inpatient services.

Parking at the hospital is $4 per day.

Tickets are available at the carpark booths- coins or cards are accepted. You will need to enter your car registration and print a ticket to display on your dashboard.

If you have a pension card, health care card, or mobility parking permit, parking is free however you will need to sign in at the information desk (hospital main entrance) and provide your registration details.

Services

Welcome to Belmont Hospital. Belmont Hospital is part of Hunter New England Local Health District. Belmont Hospital is a 128-bed facility and provides a range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to the population of Lake Macquarie. These services include general medicine, stroke unit, general surgery, day surgery, coronary care, gynaecology, subacute care, short-term residential accommodation service (STRAS), a midwifery-led birthing service (BMGP), Lakeview Drug & Alcohol service, and a 24-hour emergency department. A range of allied health and diagnostic services are also provided including physiotherapy, social work, dietetics, speech pathology, occupational therapy, pathology, and radiology.

Belmont Outpatients Department provides clinical consults across several specialties including surgical, orthopaedics, fracture, respiratory, neurology, rheumatology, endocrinology, gynaecology, antenatal, diabetes, heart failure clinic, and cardiology clinic. Four Pre-Admission Clinics are run per week for the patient requiring assessment prior to their elective surgery.
