Good for kids. Good for Life

How do you mainstream healthy eating and physical activity for children in an environment where exposure to junk food is growing and where incentives and opportunities to be physically active are shrinking?

That is the challenge being taken on by the Good for Kids. Good for Life program.

Good for Kids is led by Hunter New England Population Health in partnership with the community and other agencies and organisations also interested in the health and well being of children aged up to 15 years.

Actions being undertaken as part of the program aim to re-create home, childcare/pre-school, school, health service, community and media environments so that it is easy for families and their children to build healthy eating and physical activity into their lives.

For more information on the program please visit the Good for Kids website or see the program overview and newsletters.
