Healthy Eating Active Living

With 1 in 2 adults and 1 in 4 children in NSW overweight or obese, health risks are on the rise. By being active every day and making healthy food choices, we can prevent diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers.

What does healthy eating look like?

  • Choose water as a drink
  • Have 3 regular main meals
  • Choose healthy snacks between main meals (fruit, vegetables, yogurt)

What does being active look like?

  • Turn off screens and spend time outdoors
  • Choose active travel (walk, ride a bike or take public transport)

Move more throughout the day! Get up and move every hour, use the stairs instead of the lift, park further away and walk to the shops/ work, and get active with family and friends on weekends!

We have FREE programs for adults and children to help make healthy eating and active living choices easy.
