Influenza season is almost here, COVID-19 is ongoing, new health care students are starting university and we need to keep our childhood immunisation rates high to protect our communities! Welcome to all new nurse immunisers and those who have been protecting their communities for years.

Join us for a comprehensive 2022 Immunisation Update session from the HNE LHD Public Health Unit Team, livestreamed direct to you.

OVERVIEW

The education session will be presented by Hunter New England Public Health Unit and will provide important information regarding the following:

  • COVID-19 vaccination update I
  • Influenza disease and vaccines
  • Cold chain management requirements
  • Adverse event following immunisation reporting and update
  • NSW Health care worker requirements including new students
  • National Immunisation Program
  • Anaphylaxis recognition & management
  • The immunisation needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • 2022 school immunisation program
  • Immunisation during pregnancy and in preterm babies
  • Q & A session.

WHO: All Authorised Immunisers, General Practitioners & Practice Staff in the Hunter New England Region
