Centre for Innovation in Regional Health

NSW Regional Health Partners is transforming the delivery of health care to regional, rural and remote Australia.

One of only two accredited Centres for Innovation in Regional Health (CIRH) in Australia, NSW Regional Health Partners serves a population of 1.5 million people, including 10 per cent of Australia's Aboriginal population.

NSW Regional Health Partners is a partnership involving Central Coast, Hunter New England and Mid North Coast Local Health Districts, Calvary Mater Newcastle, Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network, Hunter Medical Research Institute, University of Newcastle, and University of New England. Hunter New England Health's Chief Executive, Michael DiRienzo, is the inaugural chairperson.

This new partnership is already delivering major improvements in health outcomes, driven by innovation and leadership of a group of Australia's most talented clinicians and academics.
