eJournals provides comprehensive access to electronic titles subscribed to by HNEHealth Libraries and CIAP. Access is available to all HNELHD staff

​* PubMed@HNE comprises more than 24 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP) provides access to clinical information and resources to support evidence-based practice at the point of care. CIAP is available to all staff working in the NSW public health system. CIAP introductory workshops are available, please contact HNE Health Libraries for dates on future courses.

McMaster PLUS is designed to find the best evidence-based answer to your clinical questions by simultaneously searching the leading evidence-driven medical publications and high quality clinical literature.

UpToDate is an evidence-based resource helping clinicians make the right decisions at the point of care. Topics are written by physicians who are world-renowned experts in their specialties, and are continually updated following a rigorous peer review and editorial process. UpToDate presents a comprehensive synthesis of the evidence, followed by recommendations that can be acted on at the point of care.

BMJ BestPractice (CIAP)  is a clinical assessment tool providing information for each disease and condition. Information includes a summary and definition, aetiology, epidemiology, key diagnostic steps and tests, treatment approaches with drugs, guidelines, evidence, and patient follow-up.

Standards Australia is a searchable database with access to all Australian Standards. Standards are published documents setting out specifications and procedures designed to ensure products, services and systems are safe, reliable and consistently perform the way they were intended. They establish a common language which defines quality and safety criteria. This database has a full text search facility so you can search by standard title, number, keyword or phrase.

Medical Directory of Australia (MDA) is the country's leading online medical database used to search and locate doctors and health facilities nationwide.
