The following websites provides you access to health data and information for your quality improvement projects and/or research areas.
Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) provides reliable, regular and relevant information and statistics on Australia's health and welfare. Information is available on topics and issues, ranging from health and welfare expenditure, hospitals, disease and injury, and mental health, to ageing, homelessness, disability and child protection.
The Bureau of Health Information (BHI) provides independent reports about the performance of the NSW public healthcare system in relation to accessibility, appropriateness, effectiveness, efficiency, equity and sustainability. The BHI also manages the NSW Patient Survey Program, gathering information from patients about their experiences in public hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Cancer in NSW: The most common cancers - prostate, bowel, breast, melanoma & lung - accounted for 60.9% of all new cases in NSW –to 2012. Incidence and mortality data is currently available up until 2012.
HealthStats NSW is an interactive, web-based application that allows users to access data and tailor reports about the health of the NSW population.

HNE Health Planning and Performance can provide data on all admitted & non-admitted patients. All data request can be requested using the HNE Health Data Request System.
HNE Health Reporting Access Portal (RAP) provides access to a range of HNE Health data reports.
HNE Health’s Strategic Management and Reporting Tool and Accountability (SMaRTA Viewer) reports performance of the District’s Service Agreement. SMaRTA Viewer is a software application that can be accessed by HNE Health staff, enabling them to see how well a particular service, facility or sector is performing against their designated measures for each strategic priorities.
Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) Statistics Reports produce MBS, PBS and PIP statistical data for specified Medicare Local geographic areas.
MyHospitals is a government-owned website that has been set up to ensure the entire Australian community has easy access to nationally consistent and comparable performance information for public and private hospitals. You can search and compare performance information for more than 1,000 Australian public and private hospitals on this site.
National Health Performance Authority (NHPA) is an independent agency that monitors and reports on the performance of local health care organisations including Local Hospital Networks, public and private hospitals, and primary health care organisations such as Medicare Locals and other organisations that provide health care services to the community.
Pharmaceutical Benefits Schedule (PBS) Statistics Reports produce statistics on requested groups of Pharmaceutical items.
