The hospital has specialist wards/units for Surgery, Day Surgery, General Medicine, Critical Care, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency Services, Oncology, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, High Dependency Nursing and Mental Health.
These facilities are backed up by a broad range of diagnostic and allied health services including Radiology, Ultrasound, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, ECG and Discharge Planning. Plus Administration and Hotel Services support.
Co-located with the health service is the Taree Community Health Centre, Public Dental Clinic, Mental Health Service and Drug and Alcohol Service incorporating the Methadone Treatment Unit.
The health service operates 166 beds including 20 Mental Health beds and treats approximately 12,000 inpatients and 20,000 Emergency Department patients each year.
Hours of Operation
Manning Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 day a year providing Emergency and Inpatient services. Outpatient and Administration services operate from 8:00am - 5:00pm weekdays.
Visiting hours
Visiting hours are 10:00am to 1:00pm, and 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Specialty areas such as Maternity and Intensive Care vary, please check with the Ward.
Parking
Car parking is available in York, High and Pulteney Streets, as well as the carpark in front of the Community Health Centre off Pulteney Street. Visitors are not permitted to park directly in front of the hospital at any time. Incoming patients may alight from vehicles at the front entrance of the Hospital.
Disabled access
There are four (4) disabled car parks at the front of the hospital, as well as two (2) in York Street; twelve (12) 2-hour clinic patient car parks under the mental health unit and ten (10) 2-hour visitor parking in York Street alongside the hospital entrance.

Auxiliary services and volunteers
The Manning Hospital Auxiliary (Pink Ladies) are located in the Kiosk at the front foyer of the Hospital. All funds raised at the Kiosk are used to improve hospital facilities or purchase equipment. A trolley service is provided to the wards each day and carries sweets, drinks, toiletries etc.
