MANILLA DISTRICT HEALTH SERVICE

Manilla Hospital is a rural health service. The 29 bed hospital incorporates medical, obstetric, nursery, paediatric, long stay, respite and palliative care with a 24hour emergency/outpatient department. Community health services include a range of community nursing services, asthma and diabetes education, cardiac rehabilitation and other support services. Specialised visiting services are provided on an 'as needs' basis.

Hours of operation
Manilla Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Normal business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm weekdays.

Visiting hours
Parents/guardians/palliative care family are allowed any time.
Visitors - 11.00am to 8.00pm.
Maternity visitors - 11.00am to 1.00pm and 3.00pm to 8.00pm.

Parking
Parking is available in Court Street for visitors and 'Drop off' parking is available at the emergency department.

Disabled access
Manilla Hospital is fully accessible for visitors/patients with a disability. Disabled parking is beside the kitchen with ramp access to the hospital. Further ramp access is available at the emergency department and at the front entrance.

Relatives' accommodation
There is overnight accommodation for out of town nurses and on-call doctors. One parent/guardian can be accommodated in the paediatrics ward. The palliative care ward includes a separate bedroom/kitchenette for relatives/support people.

Auxiliary services & volunteers
The United Hospital Auxiliary meets once a month and provides funds for equipment for the hospital. Manilla Health Service is assisted by over 80 volunteers providing support to Meals on Wheels, day programs and other non-clinical services.
