INVERELL DISTRICT HEALTH SERVICE

The Inverell Hospital is a 49-bed acute-care facility providing care to the community of the North-Western New England area of NSW. The facility provides services including: acute medical & surgical, day-surgery, high dependency, palliative care, maternity, paediatric, a renal dialysis unit, a 24 hour emergency department and outpatient clinics.

Hours of operation
The Inverell Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Normal business hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Visiting hours
Wards and Maternity - 10:00am - 1:00pm then 3:00pm - 8:00pm

Ample free, on-site parking is available.

The Inverell Health Service is fully-accessible for visitors with a disability. Free disabled parking is available at all entrances.

There is on-site accommodation for relatives of patients of the Inverell Health Service that are currently admitted to the Hospital and receiving treatment.

Auxiliary services & volunteers
The Inverell Health Service is assisted by many volunteers working with the United Hospitals Auxiliary; the Diversional Therapy Group; Ward Assistants & Care Group; Pastoral Care visitors; Breast Cancer Support Group; the Fundraising committee; Pink Ladies; and the Australasian Red Cross Blood Bank volunteers.
