BINGARA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

Bingara Community Hospital is situated in the Gwydir Shire, north-west NSW. The Community Hospital has 21 beds and caters for accident and emergency, acute patients, and has nursing home facilities. The Community Health Centre is on the same premises and offers services from Community Health Nurses, Child & Adolescent Family Nurse, Physiotherapist, Community Liaison Officer, Speech Pathologist, Dietician and Occupational Therapist. A range of primary health care programs are regularly available including healthy lifestyle programs, asthma education, diabetes education, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, ante-natal classes, immunisation, and pre-school screening. Other programs are offered on an as needs basis.

Hours of operation
The Bingara Community Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Normal business hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm weekdays.

Visiting hours
Visitors are encouraged to attend between 8:00am and 8:00pm, however, visits outside of these hours can be negotiated with staff to meet the needs of patients and their families.

Free parking is available close to the hospital.

Relatives' acommodation
No accommodation is available at the Health Service. Visitors can contact Heath Service staff to enquire about local accommodation options as needed.

Auxiliary services and volunteers
Volunteers are always welcome at the Bingara Community Hospital. Staff recognise the value of carers and family members are encouraged to assist with the caring role of their relatives where appropriate. Fund raising and other support to the Health Service is provided by the Bingara Hospital Auxiliary and Bingara Health Service Fundraising committee.
