Hours of operation
Reception is staffed from 8.30 am - 5.00pm, Monday - Friday.
Emergency Department is open 24 hours each day.
The front doors of the hospital are open 6.00am - 8.00pm daily, with visitors asked to enter via the Emergency Department outside of these hours.
Visiting hours
Visiting hours are from 11.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m. During these hours phone calls can be put through to the bedside if circumstances allow. Between 1.00pm - 3.00pm some wards are closed to encourage patients / clients to have a rest. Please check with the ward's staff.
Parking
There are two minute pick-up and set down areas directly outside the hospital front door and the automatic Emergency Department doors (located at rear of hospital). Wheelchairs and assistance are available from Admissions and Emergency Department upon request. Short term parking is available in front of the hospital and longer term parking is available along the streets surrounding the Hospital.
Disabled access
There is wheelchair access available at both the front and back entrances.

Relatives accommodation
Limited accommodation is available for relatives in special circumstances. Reasonably priced accommodation available in town. For accommodation assistance, please contact the hospitals office on (02) 6776 4656.
Children's ward - Facilities are available for a parent to board with their child to provide physical and emotional support.
Auxiliary services and volunteers
Volunteers working in ward areas are supported by a part-time volunteer co-ordinator. Members of the United Hospital Auxiliary run a kiosk and trolley service with books and supplies for patient.
