Fees and service provision

Possum Place Child and Vacation Care Centres are funded in part by fees collected from families. NSW Health provides operational subsidies to the services to assist in reducing the fees for their employees.

Reduced fees are subject to means testing under Child Care Benefit by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. Families must make direct contact with FACSIA providing the centre’s Customer Reference Number (available from Possum Place administration staff) and personal details of the family.

  • Fees must be paid weekly in advance, on the first day of the child’s attendance for the week
  • Occasional care fees are due on each day that the child attends or for the week, if more than one day of attendance booked
  • Families are able to place advanced notice of absence which allows the centre to attempt to sell the position to another family requiring occasional care.  There is no guarantee of sale, if sold then fee is paid by purchasing family

Fees may be paid by cheque, money order, EFTPOS or credit card at the child care centre.
