APMA is a health promotion charity providing advocacy, options and support for sufferers of persistent (chronic) pain. The organisation was established in response to the need forimproved and accessible information and services for people living with persistent pain, and to provide community support for all Australians with ongoing pain, their carers and families.
APMA provides specialised community support such as: Reliable, current and accessible web information about chronic pain management; Continuing community education for consumer organisations; Peer support groups; Ongoing social activity; Supporting persistent pain based research by quanitying the demand of persistent pain issues using web and telephone-based feedback; Lobbying Government(s) for improved health services; Lobbying for affordable, safe and effective treatment.
