Guyra Emergency Department access change - Thursday only

31 March 2008

Hunter New England Health wishes to inform members of the Guyra community that a temporary change to access to Guyra Emergency Department will occur on Thursday 3 April 2008 while the existing access road and car park is resealed.

Between 6am and 6pm on Thursday, members of the community are advised that all access to the Guyra Multi Purpose Service (MPS) and the Emergency Department will be from the rear entrance via Abercrombie Street (Home and Community Care HACC entrance).

People are requested to alert staff on their arrival by using the intercom located at the HACC entrance

Acting Guyra Health Service Manager Donna Wainohu, said every effort will be made to ensure that the entrance will be re-opened after 6pm.

"We apologise for any inconvenience to members of the community.

"If people would like to call ahead to talk to Emergency Department staff, it would allow us to be ready and waiting at the HACC entrance for them," she said.

People are invited to call Guyra MPS on 6738 4009 or 6738 4093.
