- Top of the Range, Top of the Tablelands Awards -
Team work, dedication and loyalty have been highlighted during a series of presentations that recognised long-serving Hunter New England Health employees.
The idea for the Top of the Range, Top of the Tablelands Awards came from Health Service Managers based in the Tablelands Cluster; this HNE Health region includes the towns of Armidale, Guyra, Uralla, Glen Innes, Emmaville and Tenterfield.
Those recognised during the award ceremonies included staff who had provided 10, 15, 20 and 30-plus years of dedication to the health service.
In total, 130 Tablelands Cluster staff members were acknowledged for dedicating 10 years or more to their respective health service; their combined amount of professional experience equates to a staggering 2675 years.
Tablelands Cluster General Manager Wendy Mulligan said long-serving employees were a vital asset to Hunter New England Health, and that those staff exemplified the HNE Health Values of teamwork, honesty, respect, excellence, ethics, commitment, courage and caring.
“As a Cluster, we wanted our staff to know how much we value their experience and loyalty, and we wanted to honour them accordingly. They are a tremendous asset to our organisation,” Ms Mulligan said.
“We are proud that many of our employees have chosen to stay with us for so many years. Their contributions are not only substantial from a workplace point of view, but they also contribute to a sense of stability, dependability and community spirit within their towns. This cannot be underestimated.”
