Shiny new bathroom for Quirindi Hospital ward
10 July 2009
A shiny new and more spacious bathroom now awaits patients at Quirindi Hospital’s General Ward.
Health Service Manager of Quirindi District Health Service Luke Sams said the renovation renewed two shower areas and two toilets.
“We have been able to make the bathroom much more user-friendly and spacious,” Mr Sams said.
“It’s now a lot bigger and the configuration is much better – meaning more space for patients and improved comfort,” he said.
“The previous bathroom had seen better days and was quite small and this made it difficult for staff to access if a patient needed assistance while in the shower or toilet.
“The new bathroom is much more spacious, meaning staff can readily access it if needed,” Mr Sams said.
“We’ve had some positive initial feedback about the size of the new bathroom, which is pleasing to see,” he said.
“These are tangible improvements for the comfort and safety of both patients and staff at Quirindi Hospital.”
