Quirindi says thanks to volunteers
Quirindi Community Hospital will this week pay tribute to its volunteers as part of NSW Health Volunteer Appreciation Day.
The day is celebrated each year to recognise volunteers who give their time to local health facilities.
A morning tea to thank the volunteers will be held at Quirindi Community Hospital on Friday 27 February at 2pm.
Quirindi Community Hospital Health Service Manager Luke Sams said health volunteers perform a wide range of services to the community.
“We appreciate the dedication of all our volunteers who support the hospital in many different ways, including fundraising, participating in the Local Health Advisory Committee, organising social functions and helping with working bees,” Mr Sams said.
“Our volunteers come from diverse walks of life. Many hands make light work, and no matter what the occasion, there always seems to be dedicated community members waiting in the wings to assist the hospital whenever needed.”
“All of these people provide an invaluable service to hospital, staff, patients, and their families.”
Volunteers interested in attending the Quirindi Community Hospital morning tea have been asked to RSVP by 25 February by telephoning (02) 6746 0200.
