Temporary car park closure at Gunnedah Health Service

Tuesday 14 June 2011

Gunnedah Health Service would like to notify the community of a temporary closure of the existing emergency department car park while an updated carpark is built. Normal access for ambulances, doctors and people dropping off patients to the emergency department will remain and alternative parking will be available.

The car park in front of the emergency department will be closed for 15 days from Tuesday 14 June.

“This will allow work to continue on the Gunnedah Rural Health Centre and will also deliver an updated emergency department car park for the people of Gunnedah,” Health Service Manager Carole Young said.

“We apologise to the community for the inconvenience and we will endeavour to complete the work as quickly as possible,” she said.

“There is alternate parking available in the medical centre car park or on the street in Anzac Parade,” Ms Young said.

“Weather permitting, the upgraded car park will be available again by the end of June.

“We would like to thank the people of Gunnedah for their continued patience during this period of construction and for their support of the project.”
