A wall of memories at Narrabri

A picture can last a lifetime.

This is why staff at Narrabri District Health Service are calling on locals and their families to bring forward their photographs and keepsakes of the original Narrabri Hospital.

Kate Winston Smith, Transition Manager for Narrabri District Health Service Redevelopment is hoping that the community can bring forward their memory of Narrabri Hospital for possible inclusion on the Memory Wall.

The Memory Wall will take pride of place in the new redevelopment and will show the history of Narrabri District Health Service since its opening.

“We know that the hospital is integral to the community at Narrabri and we want the entire community to share our journey to the new redeveloped hospital,” Ms Winston-Smith said.

“The Memory Wall will be a special place where patients and their visitors can acknowledge the colourful history of both Narrabri and the hospital, as they have intertwined so regularly over the years.”

For more information on the memory wall, please call Transition Manager for the Narrabri District Health Service Redevelopment Kate Winston-Smith on (02) 67992084.

Please send your photographs to Kate Winston-Smith, 11 Cameron Street Narrabri NSW 2309 or drop into the hospital to deliver your item. Please be aware that we will not be able to make duplicates of your photo, so you should keep a copy for yourself.

The $41.7 million Narrabri District Health Service Redevelopment project is a partnership between the Commonwealth and the NSW Government and is expected to be completed by early 2012.
