More at Moree District Health Service
A busy couple of months at Moree District Health Service have seen new staff members and new equipment enter the doors at the health service.
“The health service has been gifted with many exciting additions of late. Our new staff and equipment will go a long way in helping us provide care in the area,” said Clinical Nurse Manager at Moree Hospital Bronwyn Cosh.
Moree District Health service has been fortunate to receive two significant donations this month for new equipment that will continue to uphold quality health care provision in Moree. A generous donation of more than $12,000 from the Moree District Health Service Ladies Auxiliary has enabled the purchase of a bariatric bed and two blood pressure monitors.
The health service has also received a bariatric bed and treatment chair valued at $18,000. This chair was purchased by Pius X Aboriginal Corporation. This equipment enables patients who weigh up to 400kg to be cared for in the local facility. Enhancing the care provided by Moree District Health Service for all people, the collaboration between the hospital and Pius X aims to promote good health in the Aboriginal community.
“We’re thrilled to be able to provide this equipment for patients of Moree District Health Service,” Ms Cosh said.
“Moree District Health Service continues to strive to provide quality health care to every patient and the new addition of this equipment will allow us to treat more people.”
Moree District Health Service would also like to welcome three new members of staff to the ranks. Dietitian Kimberley Small, Registered Nurse Sara Holton and GP Registrar Dr Thi Nguyen have joined the staff of Moree District Health Service and have so far been enjoying their time in Moree.
“We’ve all been welcomed into the Moree community with open arms. It’s been great to work here and be a part of health in Moree,” Dietitian Kimberley Small said.
“We look forward to working with the people of Moree into the future and seeing to their health and wellbeing.”
