HNE Health projects named as state finalists
12 October 2010
Five of HNE Health’s most innovative healthcare initiatives are celebrating selection in the 2010 NSW Health Awards.
This year the awards will feature seven categories showcasing health improvement and patient care innovations and also three peak awards recognising overall excellence and performance.
The award winners will be announced on Friday 15 October 2010, at an awards night at Australian Technology Park.
HNE Health Chief Executive Dr Nigel Lyons said he was proud of the home-grown finalists.
“This is well-deserved recognition for the teams involved and the difference these quality improvement projects are making to our communities,” Dr Lyons said.
“These awards are aligned to the seven strategic directions of the NSW Health Plan, and being named a finalist is testament to all the hard work our staff have put into each of these projects.
“Hunter New England Health is committed to providing high quality healthcare to the people of the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast regions and I am very proud of these teams and the dedication to excellence they are showing by consistently working to improve patient care,” Dr Lyons said.
“Congratulations on being named as finalists – it is truly a great honour to be named a finalist in the NSW Health Awards.
“Recognition at this level is a huge achievement and I congratulate each of the project teams involved and wish them luck for the awards night on 15 October,” Dr Lyons said.
