Guyra MPS welcomes Acting Health Service Manager

Felicity Wardle will fulfil the role of Acting Health Service Manager at Guyra Multi Purpose Service (MPS) for at least the next 9 months.
Ms Wardle is relieving for Tessa Capsanis, who has been seconded to work for NSW Health in a project management role.
An Armidale local, Ms Wardle has worked for the Area Health Service for more than 27 years.
Ms Wardle has a strong background in critical care, and has performed management duties since 1991. She has experience managing Intensive Care Units and well as after-hours nursing teams, and has also been a Better Practice Manager within Hunter New England Health’s Clinical Governance unit.

She was most recently working as Manager of Child, Youth and Family at Armidale Community Health Service.
Tablelands Cluster General Manager Wendy Mulligan said Ms Wardle is a seasoned health professional with wide-ranging experience in challenging environments.
“Felicity has a very open management and leadership style, as well as a good sense of humour which never goes astray. I’m certain she will continue developing the high-quality health services already offered at Guyra MPS, during her time as Acting Health Service Manager,” Ms Mulligan said.
Ms Wardle, who began the Acting Health Service Manager role in October, said she was enjoying working with the close-knit team at Guyra MPS.
“I’m doing my best to support the staff at Guyra deliver the best possible care to the local community, and I’m lucky that the MPS team is genuinely great to work with,” she said.
“Working with community members who are vulnerable is a privilege - to be able to assist them in making the right health choices and deal with issues about their health is very rewarding and challenging.”
