Clients, staff celebrate ten years of Wattlegrove Respite Centre
Wattlegrove Day Respite Centre is inviting past staff and clients to help celebrate their tenth anniversary this March.
The Centre is a Hunter New England Health facility for dementia clients, providing a caring atmosphere for clients and support for their carers.
Acting Nurse Unit Manager of Wattlegrove Day Respite Centre Debby Jamadar said the anniversary marked an important milestone for dementia clients in the Hunter region.
“For ten years, Wattlegrove has been providing support and care for people living with dementia. We offer meals and activities for clients, while giving carers the time to do every day activities such as shopping, cleaning, relaxing or catching up with friends and family,” she said.
To celebrate the anniversary, management and staff are inviting past staff and carers along with present clients and carers to a sausage sizzle on Friday 5 March.
Past clients or carers should RSVP to Wattlegrove Day Respite Centre by Friday 26 February. The celebrations will be held at the Centre, located at Lowrey Lane on the Wallsend Health Campus.
Celebrations will commence at 11am on Friday 5 March. For further information about Wattlegrove Day Respite Centre, please phone 4924 6350 or 4924 6361.
