Narrabri District Health Service update

Narrabri District Health Service redevelopment is progressing well, with the $41.7 million project remaining on schedule - despite the recent wet weather.

Current changes to the site include the laying of all concrete slabs in the ambulance and inpatient areas. Slabs have also been laid for the staff accommodation areas to allow for framing and brickwork to commence later this month.

Framework has been erected in office and kitchen areas, as well as inpatient sections of the new Narrabri District Health Service.

Light steel wall framing and roof trusses will continue to be erected around the construction for the remainder of September.

“It’s great to see this project really starting to take shape and the site is ever-changing,” Narrabri District Health Service Manager Sharon Simpson said.

“We would like to thank the people of Narrabri for their support during the redevelopment process and ask for their continued understanding and patience with changes occurring during this time,” Ms Simpson said.

Over the next month Richard Crookes Construction will continue roof sheeting on the site.

“This redevelopment shows just how much is being investing into local health services for the local Narrabri community. The vibe is very good and staff are incredibly excited about their new Health Service being completed in 2012,” said Ms Simpson.

The $41.7 million Narrabri District Health Service Redevelopment project is a partnership between the Commonwealth and the NSW Government.
