An opportunity to voice your opinion on important health issues
Health Service Manager of Boggabri Multi Purpose Service (MPS) Shirley Ackland is pleased to invite members of the public to the MPS Year in Review meeting.
The community and media are invited to attend the meeting which will be held on Tuesday 7 September 2010 at the Boggabri RSL, commencing at 7pm.
The Year in Review meeting is a great way for members of the public to express their opinions on important health issues in the Boggabri community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from Community Nurse, Amanda Boxsell, who is the keynote speaker for the event. Amanda will be discussing the best ways to manage chronic disease with programs such as the Boggabri Wellness Group, the Heart Moves Exercise Program, general fitness and local walking groups.
Chaired by Marion McLeod, Chairperson for Boggabri MPS Local Health Advisory Committeee (LHAC), the Year in Review meeting will also provide community members with the chance to learn how they can become more involved in local health issues.
General Manager of Mehi Cluster David Quirk will also attend the meeting, and will provide a summary of the health year of the Mehi cluster, while Shirley Ackland will describe the year with a focus on Boggabri MPS.
“Those joining us for the Year in Review Meeting will be able to see what our focuses in health have been over the past year. Attendees will learn more about how Boggabri MPS has helped the community improve fitness and overall wellbeing,” said Mrs Ackland.
The Boggabri MPS Year in Review meeting will be held on Tuesday 7 September 2010 at Boggabri RSL, commencing at 7pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
