Emmaville Health Service Manager appointed

The Vegetable Creek Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) is pleased to congratulate Jenny Newberry on her appointment as permanent Health Service Manager of Vegetable Creek Multi Purpose Service (MPS).
Jenny has been in the Acting Health Service Manager role for most of this year and was last month made full-time, permanent manager of the health service.
Emmaville LHAC member and Glen Innes Severn Shire Councillor Robert Schroder said the LHAC was pleased Jenny’s dedication to the future of Emmaville’s health services had been recognised.
“Jenny has a great working relationship with the LHAC, the wider community and the staff of the MPS,” Cr Schroder said. “She has a wealth of experience to bring to the role, so we are delighted she has been appointed.”
Jenny said her time as Acting Health Service Manager was very rewarding, and she was happy to be able to continue her work to meet the health needs of the community.
“I’m pleased that I can continue to lead the dedicated healthcare team at Vegetable Creek MPS, to provide the highest possible standard of healthcare to Emmaville,” Jenny said.
“I look forward to working with the community, to ensure Vegetable Creek MPS can continue to meet Emmaville’s health needs.”
Jenny completed nursing training at Tamworth Hospital in 1979 and worked at Glen Innes, Inverell and Emmaville for the following 30 years.
Jenny has been a valuable member of the Vegetable Creek MPS nursing team since 1992, and has since gained further qualifications to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist bringing more expertise to the range of health services available in Emmaville.
