Changes to entrance at Quirindi Health Service
Hunter New England Health would like to advise the Quirindi community of some upcoming changes to the entrance at Quirindi Health Service.
On Wednesday 24 March, the business hours entrance to Quirindi Health Service main block, including the public access to the hospital, will be changed to allow commencement of HealthOne Quirindi building works.
“The existing main entrance will be barricaded off and a temporary main entrance will be created in the former Ambulance driveway to the west of the current entrance,” Acting Health Service Manager Kylie Marquart said.
“The new entrance should be used by members of the public requiring business hours access to the General Ward, Imaging (X-ray), Hospital Administration, Admissions, Emergency Department, Health Service Manager, Antenatal Clinic, Paediatric Clinic and visitors,” she said.
After hours access from 6pm until 7am will continue to be via the Emergency Department entrance.
“We will make sure that building and parking signage will reflect the change to public access,” Ms Marquart said.
“This change will be in place during Stage One of the HealthOne Quirindi capital works program and we anticipate the new front entrance will be open in October or November this year,” she said.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to remind the community that the Physiotherapy Department has relocated to the Ingall Centre building for the duration of the HealthOne Quirindi building works.
“We would like to thank the community for your patience and understanding during the construction phase,” Ms Marquart said.
