Maitland feet go on retreat with HNE Health Education sessions
Hunter New England Health Podiatrists are conducting Diabetes Foot Care Education Session at several locations throughout the Area this year.
Podiatrists will be on hand, and foot, to teach people how to care for their feet when living with diabetes. The sessions will cover topics such as foot complications with diabetes, basic foot hygiene, nail cutting techniques and footwear.
“The sessions are a great way for the community to gain more information about living with diabetes in a relaxed, friendly environment. The HNE Health Podiatrists just want to make sure that people are taking care of their body’s most valuable asset, their feet,” Lower Hunter Cluster Diabetes Nurse Educator Judy Avis said.
The next session will be held at in “The Maitland Room” at Maitland Town Hall, 289 High Street, Maitland on Thursday 26 August at 2pm.
HNE Health Podiatrists ask that those want to attend the sessions register their interest by calling (02) 4929 6970 at least one week prior to the event. Everyone is welcome, including those not living with diabetes.
