If you live in the Armidale district and you want to have input on health service delivery in your city, why not apply to be one the Armidale Health Advisory Committee (LHAC)?
The LHAC is a committee made up of community members that provide valuable input on behalf of the Armidale community to Armidale Hospital and Armidale Community Health. The hospital is currently searching for three committee members.
Armidale Hospital Service Manager Dona Withnell said the hospital was searching for three enthusiastic community members who are interested in providing their opinion to the hospital about local health service delivery.
“Local Health Advisory Committees perform a vital role in advising and assisting the health service to continually improve services in the Armidale region,” Ms Withnell said.
“People of all ages are eligible to apply, particularly those with a wide network of local connections and knowledge that can help us foster two-way communication between the health service and the community.”
The Armidale Health Advisory Committee provides advice and input to the health service on a range of issues including:
• Health service needs of the local community
• Development of local health service strategic plans
• Local health service delivery
“If you have an interest in health and are keen to become involved, then we invite you to apply for membership on this committee,” Ms Withnell said.
