Emmaville Auxiliary donation supports patients
28 April 2010
Vegetable Creek Multi Purpose Service (MPS) at Emmaville has received a generous donation from its Auxiliary.
The Auxiliary has donated an emergency department x-ray bed and vital signs monitor to the MPS.
The funds used to purchase the equipment were raised as a result of the successful annual MPS Fete and Back to Emmaville Reunion, held in October last year.
Vegetable Creek Multi Purpose Service (MPS) Acting Health Service Manager Jenny Newberry said the staff of the MPS were very thankful to the Auxiliary for its contribution and ongoing support of the MPS.
“The Auxiliary is very active, and they make a positive contribution to improving the experience of patients, as well as staff,” Jenny said.
“The Auxiliary holds many fundraising events throughout the year, and the money goes towards purchasing additional equipment to allow us to provide the best possible care.
“The hospital staff and patients are grateful for the generosity and community spirit of the Auxiliary. The ladies do a wonderful job and we thank them for their ongoing support.”
