Temporary changes to entry points at Scott Memorial District Health Service

29 September 2009

Health Service Manager Judy Bernasconi would like to advise members of Scone community that there will be temporary changes to some entry points at Scott Memorial District Health Service.
The changes will be in place until early November, due to a range of fire safety upgrades occurring at the hospital.
The upgrades will include new pathways and entry into Physiotherapy, and the replacement of a number of doors in various sections of the health service.
Physiotherapy clients will be most affected, with patients to be redirected to the front office, where they will wait in the foyer area.
Upgrades will include the installation of automatic doors at the main administration entry, as well as at the Walter Pye Wing. An upgraded fire exit for the Maternity Unit has already been completed.
“The Scone health service team is looking forward to seeing the range of upgrades completed,” Ms Bernasconi said.
“The improvements will ensure all areas of the hospital continue to meet fire safety standards, and the community’s assistance and cooperation with the temporary changes would be helpful,” Ms Bernasconi said.
Signs outlining any changes will be erected near entry points, where applicable.
