Hydrotherapy Pool temporarily closed for maintenance

4 September 2008

Armidale Hydrotherapy Pool will receive some maintenance this month to ensure the facility is in prime condition for years to come.

While this work is being completed, the pool will be temporarily closed to all users. The maintenance will begin on Monday 29 September and is expected to be complete on Monday 27 October.

The pool will receive structural repairs and new windows.

Acting Service Manager of Armidale Hospital Sally Bristow said the scheduled maintenance was an important step in preserving one of the community’s best assets.

“The Armidale Hydrotherapy Pool was built for the community 25 years ago with a kind contribution from Armidale Lions Club, so it’s important we keep it in good condition for years to come,” Ms Bristow said.

“We want to make sure the community can continue to benefit from the large range of services offered from the pool.

“We’ve elected to start the maintenance in the October school holidays – a time of low public demand for the facility.”

The Armidale community will be notified shortly before the pool re-opens.
