Bingara Healthy Lifestyle Program gets a revamp

Are you interested in boosting your health and wellbeing? Bingara’s Healthy Lifestyle Program has been revamped following the opening of the town’s new Multi Purpose Service (MPS).
The group program will be conducted over eight weeks for people of any age wanting to maintain or improve their health and fitness.
The aim of the Healthy Lifestyle Program is to provide people with a range of information so they can make informed choices about nutrition, stress management and physical activity.
The program will also provide participants with social networking opportunities and peer support, as well as offer them skills to ensure they maintain healthy changes in the long term.
What: Bingara’s eight week Healthy Lifestyle Program
When: Every Wednesday, starting on Wednesday 15 October
Time: 9.30am – 11.30am*
Where: Activities Centre, Bingara MPS
Cost: $20

* Educational sessions will be conducted by Betty Parsons, Community Health Nurse, from 9.30am to 10.30am.
* Exercise sessions will be conducted by Alex Stones, Gwydir Shire Community Recreation Officer, from 10.30am to 11.30am. Alex will also be available to monitor the weekly progress of participants.
