Changes to car parking access at James Fletcher Hospital

Early capital works are set to commence next week for the $8.91 million non-acute mental health facility at Newcastle’s James Fletcher Hospital campus.

Initial development works will include improvements to existing car park facilities to provide a fully sealed, paved parking area for the safety of staff, patients, clients and visitors.

From Monday 19 May, there will be limited on-site car parking available to clients and visitors to the James Fletcher Hospital campus while an existing carpark is upgraded.

It is expected the upgrades will take approximately four weeks to complete.

Some members of the public may have to utilise on-street parking during this short period.

No other on-site car parks will be affected by the upgrade, and disabled parking will still be available on-site during this time.

Hunter New England Health apologises for any inconvenience caused to members of the community while works are underway.

The carpark is expected to re-open in mid-June.
