Get all your aged care questions answered
07 April 2008
Walcha residents will have the chance to find out more about aged care services in the community at an upcoming information night held by Walcha MPS.
The night, titled Ageing in the Community, will include a variety of guest speakers including representatives from Community Options, Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), Home and Community Care (HACC), Respite Care, Stroke Recovery, community nurses and Advance Care Planning.
The speakers will also be available to answer questions on the night.
Walcha MPS Manager Kristine Smith said the information session would be an ideal opportunity for residents to find out about the services available to them.
“With an ageing population it’s important that we stay informed about what’s available to us. These services can help us continue to live happy, healthy lives,” Ms Smith said.
“So come along and have a chat with the speakers to find out if there’s a service that could help you in the future.”
Ageing in the Community will be held at Walcha High School starting at 7pm on Thursday 17 April.
The Walcha Lions Club will run a free barbecue dinner on the night, starting at 6pm. The dinner will be sponsored by Walcha Shire Council.
