The manager of the Forster Health Service, Louise Saville, said the meetings deal with local health issues and are a wonderful opportunity for people to find out more about their local health services as well as opportunities for getting involved in making our community a healthier one.

She said the Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) has recently been discussing cancer issues for local people.

"We will also be looking at the future direction for these meetings, with one suggestion being that we take up specific heath issues, such as obesity, and see how we can support the Health Service’s plans to reduce the impact of health problems on the community," she said.
