Renowned international Professor to train Hunter clinicians in suicide prevention

Hunter clinicians will have the opportunity to learn about the collaborative assessment and management of suicidality (CAMS) at a workshop presented by Dr David Jobes, Professor of Psychology at the Catholic University of America.

The workshop will teach clinicians to listen to and align with their patients, to consistently target suicide risk, and to effectively reduce that risk.

What: The Hunter Institute of Mental Health is holding the 2008 international speaker series. As part of this event, Dr David Jobes will be presenting The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS).

Who: Dr David Jobes is a Professor of Psychology and Co-Director of Clinical Training and Clinical Psychology at the Catholic University of America.

Dr Jobes will be available for interviews and photos.

When: A Breakfast will be held with Dr Jobes on Thursday 16 October 2008 from 7.30am to 9.30am. Dr Jobes will be available for interviews and photos after the breakfast from 9.30am.
