Community invited to October meeting of the Port Stephens West Health Advisory Committee
Residents of Raymond Terrace and the surrounding region are invited to attend the next meeting of the Port Stephens West Health Advisory Committee on Wednesday 24 October 2007 at the Port Stephens Council, 116 Adelaide Street, Raymond Terrace at 6pm.
The guest speaker for the October meeting is Marc Glanville from the Good Sports program who will speak about how the program is working with Hunter New England Health’s Good for Kids. Good for Life project.
Peter Francis, Chair of the Port Stephens West Health Advisory Committee, said this meeting’s discussion will cover ways to integrate the Port Stephens Council’s Sporting program into the Good Sports and Good for Kids initiatives.
“Port Stephens Council has an excellent sporting program and the Good Sports and Good for Kids initiatives could really benefit from using the access it has to kids and sport in our region,” Mr Francis said.
The Port Stephens West Health Advisory Committee provides advice and input to the health service on a range of local issues including:
• Health service needs of the local community;
• Development of local health service strategic plans; and
