Local people interested in undertaking an important role in the health of their community are invited to apply to fill a vacancy in the Armidale Health Advisory Committee.
Armidale Hospital Service Manager, Dona Withnell, said there is one vacancy on the committee, which provides valuable input on behalf of the Armidale community to the local health service.
“We need an enthusiastic community member who has an interest in health to fill this place on the local health advisory committee,” Ms Withnell said.
“Committee members have a valuable role to play by providing advice and input to me on the provision of health services in the Armidale region,” she said.
“People of all ages are eligible to apply, particularly those with a wide network of local connections and knowledge that can help us foster two-way communication between the health service and the community.”
If you are active in the community, have good communication skills, have experience in management (e.g. small business or farming) or have professional qualifications, this role may suit you.
The Armidale Health Advisory Committee provides advice and input to the health service on a range of issues including:
• Health service needs of the local community;
• Development of local health service strategic plans; and
• Local health service delivery
