One number for Hunter New England Health public dental care

Clients of the Hunter New England Oral Health service who require dental care are advised there is now one central phone number for appointment bookings. 

The Hunter New England Oral Health Contact Centre will now encompass North Coast Oral Health as well as dental clinics in the former New England region.

The number remains the same for clients of New England, Forster, Taree and North Coast areas.

Service Manager for Hunter New England Oral Health Leanne Martin said the central intake number came about as part of a move to localise the service for consumers in the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast regions.

“The Contact Centre is now staffed by Hunter New England Health employees with a sound knowledge of the local area and the needs of Hunter and Lower Mid North Coast clients,” Ms Martin said.

The Hunter New England Oral Health Contact Centre triages request for dental care according to a NSW state-wide program that gives priority to those in the most urgent clinical need who hold an eligible NSW Health Care Card.

The intake number for clients of this service is 1300 651 625.
